A Thousand Small Fish on the Reef Wall

Let your eyes wander

  1. Begin with the bright orange fish crowding close to the coral on the left.
  2. Among them, a few are pinker and paler than the rest.
  3. Low on the left, a cream-coloured coral spreads out like a small soft cloud.
  4. Just to its right, a speckled reddish fish rests half hidden in the coral.
  5. Through the middle, slender silver fish swim in a loose line, catching the light.
  6. Further out, the fish grow smaller and darker until they are only specks in the blue.
  7. In the top right, a few larger shapes drift quietly in the deep water.
  8. Along the very top, light from the surface makes the water a little paler.

There is no last thing to find. Look again wherever your eyes would like to rest, or close them and keep the picture.

Keep going

Nothing here needs finishing. Every door leads somewhere, and the last one is always darker than this.
